Fractional CMO

You get the strategy, the campaign, and the thing that actually shipped.

The math is
on your side.

A full marketing team is a real expense — salaries, benefits, the works. With AI doing the heavy lifting, one day a week can deliver the output you'd otherwise staff up for.

Owner$120,000
Strategist, part-time$40,000
Marketing director$95,000
Designer$55,000
Overhead, 30%$93,000
A full department, per year$403,000
Steam, one day a week$31,200

That second number buys the same output — the actual work, delivered. That's the part you were after all along, and now it fits.

Why one day a week is enough

Most of what a marketing department spends its week on is production: drafting, resizing, scheduling, pulling reports, chasing approvals. The machines do that now, and they do it overnight. What is left is judgment, and judgment does not need forty hours. It needs twenty years and one clear day.

What I run

The plan, the priorities, and the number we are trying to move. I sit in your leadership conversations, argue for the marketing case, and then go build the thing rather than briefing someone else to build the thing.

What I will tell you

If the industry standard is wrong for you, I will say so, and then I will show you the numbers. If the math on an engagement does not land in your favor, I will tell you that too, and we will not do it.

Pricing

What it costs

Rates drop the longer you commit: $100/hr standard, $85/hr on a 3-month commitment, $75/hr at six months and up (one day a week).

Invoiced twice a month, like a paycheck, net 30. The effect is that you pay for the work gradually rather than in a lump, and you can stop at any point without unwinding a contract.

No retainer minimum beyond the one day, and no charge for the hours I spend arguing with myself.

How payment works

Questions I get

What if I need more than one day a week?

Then we scale it up, and the hourly rate comes down. The one-day floor exists because anything less is not enough time to hold the context.

Do you replace my existing marketing person?

Usually not. Most often I sit above a junior or a coordinator and give them a plan worth executing, which is the thing they are typically missing.

How do we know it is working?

We agree on the number we are moving before I start, and I report against it. If it is not moving, that is a conversation I will start, not one you will have to.
